PSP Welcomes Department of Energy Business, Showcases Leading Lubricant Solutions Partner Reinforcing goal to become a regional energy gub through international standards

PSP Specialties Public Company Limited (PSP) reaffirms role as a leader in comprehensive lubricant solutions with over 35 years of adherence to international standards. The company boasts a lubricant production capacity of 212 million liters per year and the ability to distribute over 3.6 billion liters of fuel and asphalt annually. PSP’s infrastructure seamlessly integrates the supply chain from raw material sourcing to end-user delivery in key economic zones, while maintaining strict compliance with global safety and environmental standards. Currently, PSP supplies more than 2.9 billion liters of fuel per year, underscoring goal of becoming a "Regional Energy Hub." Recently, the company welcomed executives from the Department of Energy Business for a site visit in Samut Sakhon, reflecting the government’s confidence in the quality and operational standards of PSP’s lubricant products across entire value chain.

Mr. Sakesan Krongphanich, Deputy CEO of P.S.P. Specialties Public Company Limited (PSP), the leading lubricant solutions partner, revealed that PSP’s fuel and asphalt depot is located in Tha Chin Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province, covering an area of over 60 rai. The depot has a total storage capacity of more than 70 million liters and includes key fuel products such as diesel B7, B10, gasohol E20, E85, gasoline, and asphalt. The facility features a private jetty capable of accommodating oil tankers with a capacity of 3,000–4,000 gross tons, along with a distribution system that handles over 400 oil tanker trucks per day to supply fuel to service station networks across Bangkok and vicinity, the lower central region, the upper southern region, and the western region.

“PSP is committed to developing modern energy infrastructure by implementing a centralized automation system to manage all depot operations through the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system,” said Mr. Sakesan. “This is complemented by a real-time Automatic Tank Gauging system, a safe and accurate Bottom Loading system, an automatic fire suppression system, and a comprehensive leak detection system covering the entire operational area, all aimed at enhancing safety for personnel, communities, and the environment.”

In addition, PSP places great emphasis on product quality control by establishing an in-house fuel quality inspection center at depot, which is certified to ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. The center also meets national accreditation standards, ensuring that every liter of fuel delivered to customers strictly adheres to quality benchmarks. The implemented systems have helped reduce fuel loading time by an average of 20% and significantly improved logistics efficiency throughout the supply chain.

In terms of organizational capability, PSP brings over 35 years of industry experience, with an annual lubricant production capacity exceeding 212 million liters and fuel and asphalt distribution volumes of more than 3.6 billion liters per year. The company operates across both lubricant manufacturing and integrated oil depot systems, delivering end-to-end services across the entire supply chain—from raw material intake and automated storage and production, to quality control using advanced tools and technologies, and finally to consumer distribution. Over the past two years, PSP has also earned key certifications and awards that reflect commitment to sustainable business practices, including the Industrial Product Standard TIS 17025 (ISO/IEC 17025), reinforcing ongoing efforts to elevate operational standards at the regional level.

In the area of alternative energy, the company is currently conducting studies and preparing to introduce new products such as bio-based transformer oil and bio-blended rubber oil. These initiatives align with the global energy transition trend while also emphasizing environmental stewardship and sustainable engagement with communities surrounding operations.

Most recently, PSP welcomed a delegation of over 20 executives from the Department of Energy Business, led by Mr. Sarawut Kaewtathip, Director-General of the Department of Energy Business, Ministry of Energy. The visit included a tour of the company’s fuel and lubricant distribution center, lubricant production plant, and logistics hub in Samut Sakhon Province. The objective was to gain a deeper understanding of the production process, regulatory oversight, and quality control of lubricants, aligning with the Department's mission to supervise and ensure the quality and safety of lubricant storage and production facilities. The visit also served as a platform for exchanging ideas and exploring public-private collaboration. This engagement reflects the government’s confidence in PSP and underscores the company's role as a fully integrated operator—from raw material storage to internationally certified lubricant quality control.
